Unfortunately after a lot of research we could not find any information on the band 'The Bird'.

We found the song on itunes however there was no where to get the lyrics so we had to listen and then write them down.

This is a students piece that has some resemblance to what we are going to do for our final piece. In it, it has some scenes of punting across the river and shots of him singing in the park. It also has shots of people riding on bikes, it also has some simple shots of him just standing there playing the guitar and walking along singing.

GROUP 32 - Music Video Animatic

PROGRESS

So far, we have photographed the story board, and are in the process of creating the animatic.

The storyboard contains our first ideas for the music video. The lyrics were easy to work with, so more ideas were available.

The animatic will help to give us a rough idea of what the final peice will look like, and it will help us to plan our filming sessions, and show us any faults we have with our ideas.

We are going to use effects and transitions in the animatic to show what it will look like, including zooms and sliding transitions.

The feedback session will also help to show us what other people think about our ideas, so we can involve these in our re-thinking of the video.

So far...

At the moment we are doing the Animatics and just drawing out the ideas that we have, however we do not have an order of how the sequence will go, so we are just going to film all of the scenes that we need and then during the editing stage we will fit all of the bits together to create the final project.

A few of the ideas that we have consist of her riding through a park on a bike with close ups of her singing, we shall do this by having something sturdy attached to the back of another bike and riding in front of her. Other ideas that we now have is having scenes with sketchy parts, such as during the song there is a piano piece and so we have a thought of a man playing at the piano and the piano is all sketchy but fits in quite well with what is going on in the song. Other sketchy ideas that we have are with a book that opens up above her and out falls lots of sketchy stars and it should fall on a part of the song that says about falling stars.





There will be a few shots of her in a boat and a few panning shots of her going past, also we will have a shot of her going under a bridge with her looking up at the camera as she goes under the bridge and singing.
Another shot we hope that will work or is possible, will be her walking through a field hopefully with long grass that she can walk through and have some nice scenic shots, this would be influenced by Corinne Baley Ray's video when she is in the field.

Nine Million Bicycles - katie melua

This video relates to our ideas for our music video in the sense that she is oblivious to everyone who is around her. Also the scenes change around her she appears not to notice this just sings.
There is a scene where she moves across the sky like a falling star which could relate to our video as it is called 'Falling like stars'.
The video focuses just on her it doesn't show any ones faces which centers the events around her which we want to create in our music video.

SCENERY IDEAS WITH IMAGES

A sunflower field is one of our main ideas for a scenery. We think that the ideas of the bright colours will help with the mellow style of the track.













This is an image we would like to re-create. The song is called falling like stars, so this image is original and quite light hearted.















Here are some fun animated stars which we could use in our music video. We could use these as a background idea, for writing text etc.











This is an image of the kind of bike we wish to use in the music video. We plan to have the main actress peddling the bike down country lanes singing along to the song.














During the video we could have a few shots of punting and going across the river, these shots would go well with the song as it calming.

Corinne Baley Ray- Put your record on

I felt this video reflects our ideas of different locations and a relaxed, romantic atmosphere which we want to create with our video and helps to reflect our song : ) The locations shown in this video such as the field with long grass gave us inspiration for our video as we want to create the sunny and happy feel which this video potrays. I was worried that our video idea of the main character just singing throughout the whole song would be boring but this video proves that the changing of locations and the positive atmosphere the song creates helps to keep the viewer entertained and helps the words of the song to tell their own story and helping the viewer to also conclude their own story behind the song. This could work with our song as the lyrics could potray unique meanings which we can try and reflect in our video.
